Zhou Wu Wang awarded Wu Dabos great grandson Zhong Tu the village of Yan, and his descendents received the last name Yan. 2) Zhou Kang Wangs son was awarded the town of Yan, and his descendents are also known as the Yans. 3) During Chun Qiu period, Jin Cheng Gongs son Yi was awarded the land of Yan (west of Anyi in Shanxi).
