美国波士顿华埠居民会共同主席 余仕昂

在美国麻省波士顿，已入了美国籍的华裔选民，为着争取选举政府公职人员的选举票，除了用英文以外，要求加入有中文候选人姓名的双语选票，经历七年之久。他们对省政府官员进行游说请愿，持牌静坐抗议，以及游行示威抗争，期间雪雨无间，饱受冷热煎熬，苦不堪言，终于获得成功。

xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comffice:smarttags" /2010年7月31日，麻省省长派区克签署有中文候选人姓名的双语选票法案立法，特邀长期积极参与争取双票选举的选民在场观礼。这是波士顿开埠以来的里程碑，是华人争取选举政治权益胜利的光辉历史见证，名留史册，华人足以自豪。

Chinese voters in Boston Massachusetts fought for Chinese Bilingual Ballots for seven years. They lobbied government officials staged rallies and protest demonstrations. In these years Chinese voters never stopped to fight for it. They finally succeeded.

On July 31.2010,An Act was signed into law by Gonernor Deval Patrick and witnessed by members of the Coalition for Asian American Voting Rights. It is a landmark victory for Boston Chinese Voters. We will never forget it. Chinese Voters are proud of it.
