My friend in the west takes leave at Huang He Lou

烟花三月下扬州。
Misty flowers in the late spring he is sailing down stream to Yang
Zhou

孤帆远影碧空尽，
His lone sail distantly shows up against the emerald sky until the
sail disappears

唯见长江天际流。
and now all I see is the long river flowing to the horizon
