The Chinese Porcelain Art has a long history, but in thousand decades, there is no RED-GLAZED PORCELAIN among numerous colorful porcelains. Why? Because the red-glazed porcelain cannot endure high-temperature, and the procedure of firing is extremely difficult which have says of ‘one finished treasure from thousand kilns’ and ‘nine failure-firings out of ten kilns’. So, it had been a very tough topic of producing red-glazed porcelain in the world history and to make perfect red-glazed porcelain had become a dream of skilful craftsmen in the past thousand decades. However, Shaodong Xu and Xingtai Xu, two excellent crafts experts in Dehua, Chinese Porcelain Town, solved this tough problem in the year 2004. But because of expensive cost, due to difficult firing and low-rate of finished products, the red-glazed porcelain became a kind of luxurious collection or gift, and once was listed in the state-souvenir sent to foreign guests by Chinese Government. In August, 2006, the red-glazed porcelain firing-researching team, established by Xiamen Riyuan Industrial CO., Ltd, has finally overcome the problems of difficult firing and low-rate of finished products, so the cost of red-glazed porcelain has been reduced much. Xiamen Riyuan has become a new force in the field of Chinese Red-glazed Porcelain.
