工程孟子（第一章）

1. 1 .
Mencius went to see king H鹖 of
Liang.孟子去见国王h鹖梁。
2. 2 .
The king said, ‘Venerable sir,
since you have not counted it far to come here, a distance of a
thousand l, may I presume that you are provided with counsels to
profit my kingdom?’国王说，
'尊者先生，因为你不指望它远来这里，距离1000 l
，我假定你是提供给律师，我的利润王国？ '
3. 3 .
Mencius replied, ‘Why must
your Majesty use that word “profit?” What I am provided with, are
counsels to benevolence and righteousness, and these are my only
topics.孟子回答说， '为什么要陛下使用这个词的"利润"
？我所提供的，是律师的仁和义，这是我唯一的主题。
4. 4 .
‘If your Majesty say, “What
is to be done to profit my kingdom?” the great officers will say,
“What is to be done to profit our families?” and the inferior
officers and the common people will say, “What is to be done to
profit our persons?” Superiors and inferiors will try to snatch
this profit the one from the other, and the kingdom will be
endangered. '如果陛下说， "什么是要做我的利润王国"
？伟大人员会说， "什么是要做的利润我们的家庭"
？和劣质人员和普通百姓会说， "什么是要做利润的人？
"上级和下级会设法抢夺这一利润一方面来自其它，王国会受到危害。
In the kingdom of ten thousand
chariots, the murderer of his sovereign shall be the chief of a
family of a thousand
chariots.在王国一万驾马车，凶手其主权应行政一家1000驾马车。
In the kingdom of a thousand
chariots, the murderer of his prince shall be the chief of a family
of a hundred
chariots.在王国1000驾马车，凶手他威尔斯应行政一家百驾马车。
To have a thousand in ten
thousand, and a hundred in a thousand, cannot be said not to be a
large allotment, but if righteousness be put last, and profit be
put first, they will not be satisfied without snatching
all.有1000万，并在百上千，不能说不是一个很大的分配，但如果是正义的最后提出，并得到利润首次提出，他们将不会满足所有抢。
5. 5 .
‘There never has been a
benevolent man who neglected his parents.
'从来善良的人忽略了他的父母。 There never has been a
righteous man who made his sovereign an after
consideration.有从来没有一个正直的人，他作了一个主权之后考虑。
6. 6 .
‘Let your Majesty also say,
“Benevolence and righteousness, and let these be your only
themes.” Why must you use that word — “profit?”.
'让陛下也说， "仁和义，并让这些被你唯一的主题"
。为什么你要使用这个词-"利润" ？ 。
